web.meson.org: Mark Shoulson's website2012-11-24T23:30:00ZMark E. Shoulsontag:meson.org,2006:My own two handsCrafts and Turk's Heads2012-11-24T23:30:00Ztag:meson.org,2012:Crafts
<p>
Been playing with a
<a
href="http://web.meson.org/crafts/TH/TH.html>design page</a>
for <a
href="http://en.wikipedia.com/wiki/Turk's_head_knot">Turk's Head
knots</a>, and got so hungry for feedback that I added a new
section to my site for it. There's some origami and stuff to be
added to it eventually anyway.
</p>
<p>
No, I do not think nearly four years between updates is excessive;
why do you ask?

Update to Marin!2009-01-26T15:52:10Ztag:meson.org,2009:Marinupd
<p>
Nothing really to add to the text of the site so much, but I have
finally uploaded an <a
href="http://web.meson.org/downloads/Marin.zip">update to my
Unicode wide-coverage font Marin</a>. I added support for a
whole lot of new Unicode ranges (Ogham, UCAS, even Devanagari, etc.)
Please take a look!

Background for Judaism2008-03-27T21:32:09Ztag:meson.org,2008:jbackground
<p>
Another of those things that have been sitting around for over a
year with nothing done on them, that I might as well make available. I started
this <a href="http://web.meson.org/religion/j-background.php">background
document for Judaism</a> ages agone, I think it was posted on my blog,
and then forgotten. Might as well post it where it belongs, on my website, and
maybe eventually work on improving it.

Blazonry Server2008-03-02T20:09:58Ztag:meson.org,2008:blazonserver
<p>
It's a project I've been tinkering with on and off for more than
a year: a program to convert from <a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blazonry">Blazonry</a> to <a
href="http://www.w3c.org/Graphics/SVG/">Scalable Vector Graphics</a>.
And now, with the help of Arnt Richard Johansen, it is finally getting close to
ready to be seen. And so I now have a server for converting blazonry to
graphics, and a <a href="http://web.meson.org/pyBlazon/">home page for
the program</a>, which will someday be released under an open-source
license, and linked it into the structure of the website, and all that fun
stuff.

New Web Server, in Beta2007-09-05T14:22:17Ztag:meson.org,2007:newserver
<p>
My web/mail server seems to be running on its last legs,
and I thought for a change I would try to do something about
it <em>before</em> it died rather than after, so I am moving
functions onto a brand spanking new box. Let me know if that
broke anything; it's still in beta.
</p>
<p>
Oh, and I remembered to add my <a
href="http://secondlife.com">Second Life</a> character
name to the <a
href="http://web.meson.org/contact.php">Contact page</a>.

Documents and Typesetting Section Added2006-07-03T03:07:33Ztag:meson.org,2006:adddocs
<p>
Added a section of documents and typesetting, mainly so I'll have a
place for people to download weird things I feel like typing up. Placed
the tri-fold bencher and bencher booklet there for starters.

Translation of Translation Article2006-06-25T17:51:33Ztag:meson.org,2006:alas
<p>
Linked in my translation (from Hebrew) of an article comparing the
"old" and "new" Hebrew translations of
<cite>Lord of the Rings</cite>.

Samaritan Pentateuch Overview2006-04-17T02:58:21Ztag:meson.org,2006:sampent
<p>
Added a page on the differences between the Jewish and Samaritan versions
of the Pentateuch (to go along with <a
href="http://web.meson.org/compare/">my comparing
Pentateuch</a>). Probably a little more still to be added to
that, but it's good reading.
</p>
<p>
To contain that article and others that may join it, a <a
href="http://web.meson.org/religion/">religion section</a> has
been added to the website's structure.

Hypersphere Page2006-02-24T03:11:44Ztag:meson.org,2006:hypersphere
<p>Followed up on something I had toyed with in <a
href="http://seqram.livejournal.com/2006/02/16/">my livejournal
entry</a>, and wrote up a loooong page rambling about picturing a
hypersphere. I hope it's useful. Or else I'll just have to keep
working on it.</p>
Added this feed2006-02-24T02:26:31Ztag:meson.org,2006:feedstart
<p>Added this feed so that my adoring public can be
informed of my brilliant exploits and upgrades to this website. Yet
another vote of self-confidence that I'll actually be keeping up with
adding things to this place. Wonder if it'll work.</p>
<p>At this point, I'm typing out RSS by hand. No hifalutin
computer mumbo-jumbo for me! Yep, I'm a hands-on, dirty-fingernails
kinda guy. Shyeah right.</p>
